Sequence-ready map of chromosome V from near KNAT3 to just north of PhyC, as well as an additional 1.5Mb north of NIT4. The figure below depicts selected markers from the Lister & Dean map, the YAC tiling path, and the sequence-ready BAC tiling path built by hybridization and fingerprint data. Certain BACs are linked to pages specific for that particular clone. A tiling path of 33 BACs extends north of the centromere to KNAT3. An additional 18 clones, covering another 1.5Mb span north of the NIT4/mi433 region sequenced by Kazusa, have been added to our sequencing queue. A tiling path of 8 BACs extends south of the centromere to PhyC. These contigs join and extend the long and short arm P1 clone contigs developed by the Kazusa group.
