Sequence-ready maps grow!

We now have BAC tiling paths that cover 6.5 - 7 Mb in the region that the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Consortium initially proposed to sequence. These contigs were first built by hybridization with YAC clones. These contigs, initially built over the last month, have recently been extended with the aid of the Arabidopsis fingerprint database constructed by our consortium at Washington Univeristy. These efforts have linked our sequence-ready maps to those of ESSA on chromosome IV and of Kazusa on V. A summary report of our GenBank submissions of finished sequence and a detailed status report of all projects are available for review.
