Remote Access Solutions
*Most of the Library's electronic resources are available to
users from anywhere off campus and from any location, including
foreign countries.
To access our resources remotely, use either:
VPN (Virtual Private Network)
The Information Technology departments' VPN (Virtual Private Network)
service is the recommended method for remote access. Please call the IT helpdesk at x8390
for the location of the VPN software you will need to download to your computer.
OR
EZproxy Proxy Service
EZproxy is server based software provided by the Library that
is used to access our online resources and online subscriptions
for off campus users. This service is especially useful if you
are not using your own computer (off-campus libraries, Internet
cafes, etc)
Important FAQ's when using EZproxy
- Only users who have a secondary (also called phage or dmz
) username and password are able to use EZproxy.
This password must be created on campus. Click
here
to set a secondary password.
- you must access the journals, databases and ebooks through
the library's web site. The links there have the correct
url's that use ezproxy.
For solutions to common EZProxy access problems, see the EZproxy
FAQ page.
